Rex Ryan says he and Norv Turner are 'even' now

New York Jets head coach Rex Ryan apologized for his statement to the San Diego media on Wednesday that had the Chargers hired him instead of Norv Turner back in 2007 then they would have had “a couple of rings by now.” The statement clearly irked the mild-mannered Turner, who when told about the comment, responded that “I didn't have a chance to ask [Ryan] this, but I was wondering if he had those rings with the ones he's guaranteed the last couple of years.”

Ryan swore that the matter is settled and that it he never meant to insult Turner or the Chargers. Still, you can bet that all eyes will be on the post-game handshake between the two coaches after Sunday’s game.
