Oilers' Sutton suspended for fiveĀ games

The Edmonton Oilers will be without defenseman Andy Sutton for the next five games after he was suspended by the NHL on Tuesday for an illegal hit to the head of Colorado Avalanche forward Gabriel Landeskog in Tuesday night’s game. Landeskog had turned to accept a pass when Sutton made principle contact to the head with his upper arm/elbow, drawing just a two-minute minor penalty in the game, but a 5-game ban from NHL discipline czar Brendan Shanahan.
