Eagles will not have Samuel for Cowboys game

The Philadelphia Eagles’ depth at cornerback is going to come in handy on Sunday when they will be without Pro Bowler Asante Samuel, who is sidelined with a hamstring injury. Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie will start in his place, and combined with Nnamdi Asomugha, the Eagles should still have enough skill at the position to handle the Cowboys’ wideout tandem of Dez Bryant and Miles Austin.

Doing so will be vital to the success of the Eagles’ defense as they try to keep their slim playoff hopes alive. Philadelphia will need to win both of their remaining games and get help in order to win the NFC East, specifically have the Jets beat the Giants this week and then have the Giants beat Dallas in the final game of the season.
