The New York Jets’ chance of making the postseason are pretty slim, but they got a little better on Friday when the Miami Dolphins announced that Reggie Bush will not dress for the regular season finale on Sunday due to a knee injury. Bush has been a revelation this season for the Dolphins, silencing many critics who didn’t believe that he could be an every-down running back by rushing for over 1,000 yards for the first time in his career (1,086) and carrying the ball over 14 times a game. Rookie Daniel Thomas will likely see an increased workload in his place, but he has been nursing a knee injury of his own and is listed as questionable to play on Sunday.
In order to make the playoffs, the Jets have to beat Miami and then get a lot of help. They need the Bengals and Titans to both lose (to the Ravens and Texans, respectively) and then have either the Broncos or Raiders lose as well (Denver is playing the Chiefs at home, while the Raiders will host the Chargers).
