RED SOX WILL GO OUT FOR HIM.
In what has become an almost unheard of situation at this point the NFL season, the Detroit Lions will likely head into their opening round playoff game against the New Orleans Saints with a complete and healthy active roster. Every member of the team practiced on Thursday morning, including wide receiver Calvin Johnson, who sat out the previous day’s practice with a sore Achilles but was always expected to be fine by Saturday’s game. That also means that running back Kevin Smith and tight end Tony Scheffler are fine after a scary collision on the practice field earlier in the week that left Smith on the ground for several minutes while trainers attended to him.
Given the long odds that the Lions are facing in this game, this is the best news that fans could hope for. Detroit is already a 10.5 point underdog against New Orleans given the fact that they will be playing in the Superdome, where the Saints beat them handily 31-17 earlier in the season.
