LeBron sees last year's Heat in this year's Knicks

LeBron James sees a parallel between the New York Knicks’ struggles this season and the struggles his team went through last season.

“It’s never going to work just right over night, we were the prime example of that. It took us some time, the Miami Heat star said to the NY Daily News when told about the Knicks latest loss to his former team, the Cleveland Cavaliers. James mentioned the slow 9-8 start his team got off to last season, and how it took time for him and his teammates to get to know each other and play cohesively as a unit.

The Knicks have gotten off to a shockingly disappointing 7-11 start this season because of the inability of superstars Carmelo Anthony and Amar’e Stoudemire to play well together. Stoudemire’s scoring has been way down since the Anthony trade, and many fans are skeptical that the two stars can coexist. They’re hoping that the debut of a proven point guard in Baron Davis is what the Knicks need to get them over the hump. The idea is that the addition of Davis will allow the Knicks to run the pick and role offense that allowed Stoudemire to be so successful in Phoenix.

The Miami Heat have benefited with the added experience gained through their deep run into the playoffs last season. Being in those tight positions in the playoffs, thats when its time to build chemistry,” said Heat star Chris Bosh.

The Heat are a better team now because of the tight games they have played together down the stretch. They have the chemistry needed to compete for an NBA title, which is something the Knicks are hoping to gain as soon as possible.

LeBron James had the same reaction a lot of Knick fans probably had when he found out that Carmelo Anthony and Amar’e Stoudemire couldn’t beat the lowly Cleveland Cavaliers the other night.
