Packers offically announce Chad Clifton's release

Left tackle Chad Clifton’s re-signing with the Green Bay Packers didn’t last long, as he failed his physical due to lingering issues from the back surgery that he underwent earlier this year. As such, the team released him after 12 seasons in Green Bay.

The Packers sent out a statement confirming tackle Chad Clifton's release on Monday afternoon. As reported earlier, Clifton failed a physical after back surgery leading to his release from the team.
