Report: Claiborne is No. 1 player on Vikings draft board

Despite all of the talk about trading down due from the number 3 pick due to their lack of infatuation with USC left tackle Matt Kalil, reports out of New York are now suggesting that the Vikings are increasingly likely to stay where they are and draft LSU cornerback Morris Claiborne. The general consensus is that Claiborne will go to Tampa Bay at No. 5 if he gets past Minnesota, but now it looks like they may have to depart from their desire to bolster their defense in the top 5 and take Kalil.

Citing a source with knowledge of the situation, NFL Network's Steve Wyche reports that LSU cornerback Morris Claiborne is the No. 1 player on the Vikings' draft board, and they are "leaning toward" drafting Claiborne with the No. 3 overall pick in the draft.
