After winning his second Super Bowl in five years, was there really any doubt that Tom Coughlin would be back for another deal as the New York Giants head coach? Coughlin is entering the last year of his contract in 2012, which is against organizational policy of allowing lame-duck coaches to finish out their deals. And since Coughlin emphatically stated that he wasn’t ready to retire following the team’s win over the Patriots in SB XLVI, it’s really just a question of when (and for much) he will work out an extension with the team his has coached since 2004.
