Pettitte giving Yanks exactly what they need

In just three starts, Andy Pettitte has arguably become the New York Yankees second most consistent pitcher. After a rough debut, he has now won his last two games, tossing 8 scoreless innings against the Reds last weekend and then giving up just two runs over seven in a win over the Royals on Wednesday night. While CC Sabathia remains the ace, if the playoffs were to start today it might just be Pettitte getting the ball in the second game as the rest of the rotation continues to struggle to find consistency.

Andy Pettitte missed a season? Really? He looks like he hasn’t missed a beat.
